this is a very long work in progress. when its done it will be a photographic cross stitch of the Gold Medal Flour factory. i wont talk about how long it has taken to get this far.

i will be in the new prints show.
International Print Center New York presents New Prints 2012/Winter, on view January 28 - March 24, 2012 in its gallery at 508 West 26th Street, 5th floor. The show consists of sixty-eight prints by forty-five emerging to established artists, selected from a pool of over 2,300 submissions.
The Selections Committee is: Glen Baldridge (Forth Estate Editions), Barbara Baruch (Director, Brooke Alexander Editions), Peter Friedland (Private Collector), Claire Gilman (Curator, The Drawing Center), Cary Leibowitz (Director of Contemporary Editions, Phillips de Pury & Company), and Pari Stave (Vice President of Art Advisory, AXA Equitable).

this is the back wall. we had to repaint almost all the leaves. or i should say, i repainted all the leaves. the person im helping is doing all the detail work on the birds and scenes.
this mural takes up three walls in the room. 5 if you count the breaks for the windows.
while removing the protective coating the painters ended up removing lots of the imagery. so we had to repaint the back ground color.
i was asked to help restore this mural in a super rich people club. this isn't even the before picture. everything was coated with a top layer so that no one had any idea what the original colors looked like.
