pigeon project.

this is the back wall. we had to repaint almost all the leaves. or i should say, i repainted all the leaves. the person im helping is doing all the detail work on the birds and scenes.


this mural takes up three walls in the room. 5 if you count the breaks for the windows.


while removing the protective coating the painters ended up removing lots of the imagery. so we had to repaint the back ground color.



i was asked to help restore this mural in a super rich people club. this isn't even the before picture. everything was coated with a top layer so that no one had any idea what the original colors looked like.

pigeon project. im going to see how many pigeons i can make.

the done version. all hand dyed muslin.
bauhaus color theory quilt. 36"x36".

i really love the idea of making quilts that aren't a square, but can continue or breath as a shape.

brick quilt. part of it anyway.

speaking of shuttle launches, my buddy chad asked me to collaborate with him on a glass space ship he made. his goal is to combined glass objects with textiles. so this is a leg warmer that will get sewn around one of the legs. simple.

i got this form some NASA people the night before the last shuttle launch. thats right, i was there.

new project... lots of dyeing. it's kinda like crack these procion dyes. i almost don't want to disturb this pile it's too much fun to just look at.

the dead thing i found that started it all.

more from my weaving class. i found a dead something or another on a walk to the bar one night. the kind that bites it's own tail to close. so i thought it would be funny to make one that resembled my animal. eventually he too will bite his tail.

this is the square pattern i followed for the quilt. when i was small i used to think it was a dragon/dinosaur.

second quilt. dyed backing fabric and grey on front, the rest is old jeans. the pattern comes from a drawing my mom did that i grew up spending hours looking at.

i'm taking a weaving class and loving it. this piece is about 12" wide by 8ish" long.

this years valentine.
it makes me laugh and thats what's important.

now i don't know which way i want it to go.


when you can't print, dye fabric. dye fabric and sew.
as soon as i can find a bigger white wall i plan to get a better picture. a white wall and digital camera.
been messing around with cutting up old jeans and turning print ideas into quilts. the second ones almost done.
