i have spent most of the day drawing grids.

3 and a half movies and half a day worth of work.... and this is just the beginning of the stitching.

i'm finding it very hard to choose a floral pattern to back charlie stole with.

my toothless cat brought me a mouse while i was up working late. so sweet.

the first tests of silk screening discharge paste to create the moon. i am determined to make a quilt of the phases of the moon, if not a at least a few phases of the moon. my space obsession just keeps growing. damn you NASA.

i joined a sewing project called the 1912 project (http://vpll1912project.org/). it's giving me a reason to sew more clothes. which is slightly dangerous right now coz it's all i'm doing.

during the heat wave i decided to dye some yarn in boiling water on the stove....

these were not the colors they were supposed to be. the one on the left was golden yellow and the one on the right salmon. i have no idea what happened.

i have been working on trying to finish this print, and it looks like it's finally coming together. now it all comes down to a shit ton of sanding.
the print itself is an etching on plaster, accompanied by little bronze cast shacks.

...this is not the print but a early test that i'm using for construction purposes.

i was at thee met and saw this small mouse vessel and decided i needed to make one of my cat. he leans. perfect for pouring.

this is a very long work in progress. when its done it will be a photographic cross stitch of the Gold Medal Flour factory. i wont talk about how long it has taken to get this far.
